Use Fab-Form's Zont Bracing and wall alignment system for vertically and horizontally straight ICF wall construction. Straight walls are critical in home construction and even more crucial when working with Insulating Concrete Forms & Concrete construction. Fab-Form has designed a Bracing System that keeps ICF walls plumb & straight both horizontally and vertically. The Zont Bracing System offers the following components to accommodate wall alignment not only vertically but horizontally as well.
The true advantage of the Zont ICF Wall Bracing System is that you can then use standard, site available 2 x 4s and not have to worry about heavy metal vertical bracing. The total bracing system (excluding the walking platform) can be installed by one individual with no heavy lifting!
*Note: Zat Walkway handrail placement locations should be installed whenever the employee foot location is more than 6 feet above grade at a minimum
Made of high density polyethylene fabric, Fastfoot® is a green replacement of lumber and plywood for forming concrete footings. A 100' roll of Fastfoot® forms the same concrete as 1,500 pounds of lumber. Fastfoot® is now printed in three colors for easy reference of footing width lines and QR codes for onsite reference to the installation quide. Previsously nominated as the Contractors' Choice product of the year. Fastfoot® is ideal for residential and commercial strip footings and pad edging.
Energywise Sustainable Products suggests that using a 2X6 or 2X8 on the footing system reduces bulging, extra concrete and protects the lumber. That lumber could then be used for walk planks on the zont system and finally rolled into the wood framing as energy heel blocking between trusses and for handicapped hardware in bathrooms even if the handicapped bar units are not installed initially (just a good practice). The material could also be used for blocking behind cabinets in wood frame walls for attachment support.
Please note that Fab-Form's Zevlers and "monopour" system are not compatible with Quad-Lock ICF products.
